Adorn Artistry — hero directions
Three directions for the homepage hero, all built from your own photography, your own typefaces and your existing colour palette. Scroll to compare them at full viewport size. Nothing here is final copy — the words are pulled from language already on the site and need your sign-off.

What each one costs you
Safest, and it fixes the real problem. Today the hero is 900 px of screen with no words in it — no headline, no h1, no call to action. This puts your positioning statement back in the most valuable space on the site.
Keeps what the film was actually doing. The video's job was atmosphere and gentle movement. Five stills on a very slow parallax give that back at roughly a twelfth of the weight.
The most luxury-house, and the fastest. Nothing but type, the gold glow already in your DOM, and one framed portrait arriving late. This is the register of Aesop and Le Labo — confidence through restraint.
These are working mockups, not the client's site. Two things to confirm:
The live preview is minified build output with no source project, so we cannot edit the hero component directly. Two clean routes:
index.html — the video is hidden and the new hero painted over it. Reversible in one commit, no bundle surgery.src/pages/Home.tsx lines 77–96, where the hero actually lives. All figures measured on this page, not estimated. Roughly 110 KB of each total is the document plus the brand's own webfonts — the same Cormorant Garamond and Jost the live site already loads — so the difference between the directions is almost entirely photography.
